Q. How do I listen to the sound?
A. Click on the play button. After a moment you will hear a sample of the sound. If you have a slower internet connection you may have to wait a moment before it begins.
Q. I can't see the preview button. What do I do?
A. You will need to download the latest version of the Flash plugin for your browser.
- Click this link to download the Flash plugin
- The plugin will automatically install in your browser after downloading
- Restart your browser (this may happen automatically)
- Return to Airborne Sound and you will be able to preview the sounds
Q. What is the quality of the preview?
A. The preview is a 32 kHz, 192 bits, mono MP3 Flash file. Your delivered sounds will sound even better! They are 44.1kHz stereo 192 bit MP3s.
Purchasing
Q. How do I purchase a sound?
A. Click on the 'Buy Now' button. You will be taken to the secure PayPal.com website and asked for payment details. You may pay with your PayPal.com account, or via credit or debit card.
Q. Can I pay with a credit card, or a debit card?
A. Yes. Click the 'Sign Up Now' button at the bottom of the first payment page. You will be taken to a second page where you can enter your information securely. Don't worry, you won't have to sign up for anything; you can just pay once without creating a PayPal.com account.
Q. I paid by e-Check, which takes 4 days to clear. Do I have to wait 4 days to get my sounds?
A. Airborne Sound will deliver your sounds to you immediately. Just email us and we'll do the rest.
Q. Is my information secure?
A. Yes. Paypal.com is fully secure. Look for the padlock icon in your browser window. This indicates your information is private.
Q. Can I have 48 kHz files?
A. Certainly. Please contact Airborne Sound and we'll send you the WAVs or AIFs.
Downloading
Q. Where are my sounds?
A. Please check your email (the same email address as your PayPal.com login). You will receive an order confirmation email with links to your sounds. Click on the DownLink link and a private download page will be displayed. This page will have instructions to download, and private links to your sounds.
Q. I wasn't asked for my email address, so how do I get my download link?
A. Contact us, we'll get you your sounds ASAP.
Q. How do I download my sounds?
A. Your order confirmation email will have a DownLink link to a private download page. (Image of an example download page). Click either the link or the arrow image under the Download Link text on the middle right side of the page. Your sounds will begin downloading to your computer.
Q. Where are my MP3s? I just have a ZIP file.
A. The zip file (ex. Jet Set 01.zip) is a single file that contains all your MP3s, gathered together for ease of download. To find your MP3s, double click on the .zip file. It will take a moment to open and create a folder. The MP3s will be inside.
Q. Double clicking on the ZIP file doesn't open it, what do I do?
A. Windows and Mac OSX are usually able to open zip files on their own. If you are having problems, you can download a free program to help open the ZIP file.
PCs: download WinZip, Macs: download The Unarchiver.
Q. I've lost my files/the link has expired. Can you send me my sounds again?
A. Please contact Airborne Sound and we'll help you.
Licensing
Q. Am I allowed to use the sound in my (design project, home movie...)?
A. You may use any sound from Airborne Sound in synchronization. This means that the sound must be combined with other audio or with video. As long as the sound cannot be separated, you're in good shape.
Sounds from Airborne Sound cannot be redistributed (even for free).
Examples of fair use: movies, commercials, radio ads, video games (must be embedded in the code).
Examples where extra licensing is required: toys, part of a software add-on.
