New Free Sound FX Library: Construction

At Airborne Sound, we love sharing sound with the community. It’s been almost two years since we shared a free sound fx pack. That’s far too long. So, today we’re sharing a new sound effects library free of charge: the Construction Micro Pack.

About Micro Packs

What are Micro Packs? Well, over the years we’ve shared many sounds in blog posts here, on the Creative Field Recording blog, SoundCloud, and other places. We’ve collected all these single files into similar-themed bundles that you can download all in one place. These are small, focused, and compact “micro libraries” that can be dropped into your existing collection.

We have a few of these planned. The first is a collection of construction sound fx.

About the Construction Micro Pack

It’s not easy recording clean sound. Over the years, many urban sounds have intruded into our working day. Instead of being disappointed, we recorded the racket!

So, we captured both ambiences and focused, performed sound effects. Many of them offer two perspectives with different tones of the same same subject.

Included are:

• Jackhammer
• Angle grinder
• Brush chipper
• Demolition hammer
• Abrasive chop saw

Performances include:

• Tools working
• Construction
• Demolition

They were carefully captured by a mix of microphones and recorders, and were mastered diligently, and curated to help you find the right sound quickly.

Four Choices For Sound FX

The package is available with these options:

• Pro: 96 kHz/24-bit stereo WAV files with Soundminer metadata.
• CD-quality: 44.1 kHz/16-bit stereo WAV files with Soundminer metadata.
• MP3: 44.1 kHz 320 kilobit stereo MP3 files with ID3 tagging.

These tracks are completely free of charge. We just ask that you do not give them to anyone yourself, even for free. Instead, if you know someone who may be interested in them, please send them our way! We would love to share the sounds with them.

Loop-Ready Sound FX

As an additional option, you may also download an add-on to the construction clips of 12 bonus looped version for $0.99. That delivers the original 14 files plus 12 new loop-able tracks for under a dollar.

Wallet a bit light? Don’t need the loops?

No problem. Download the free pack instead. The free Pro version includes standard versions of each of the loop-ready clips.

• 862 megabytes.
• 3 formats: 192 kHz/24-bit or 44.1 kHz/16-bit mono WAV files, MP3 320 kilobits.
• Includes 19+ fields of metadata in 4 formats (Soundminer, BWAV, MacOS Spotlight, ID3v2).
